The Punxsutawney Road Runners Club seeks to contribute to local area
interest in running and racing, working to provide the community of Punxsutawney with 
several running events - appealing to everyone from the beginner to competitive athletes.  
Each year the Club uses the proceeds from its events and its generous sponsors to assist
 Punxsutawney Area High School Track and Cross Country Team seniors with scholarships,
encouraging those who wish to continue to participate in running sports 
as they pursue advanced academics.  

The Club is open to all persons interested in running and to those who seek to encourage 
young people who participate in sports in Punxsutawney to continue to do so beyond high school.
